Good morning family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
I want to feel sunlight on my face. I see the dust cloud disappear without a trace.
I want to take shelter from the poison rain, where the streets have no name.
God, our Father. Abba, father, help us to want to feel your Son's light on our face today.
Jesus, I thank you just for the opportunity and the ability to pray to you, to talk to you, to be in relationship with you, to come to you to ask for your help and to give you thanks and praise.
And when I'm tempted to want to be somewhere else, to have in a different situation or with different people, when I get tired of the same problems and the same people day after day, please help me to trust in your providence that has placed me here, even more so than whatever choices I may attribute them to.
Please help all of us to trust again in the idea that you had when you created each of us. Help us to stand against the winds of the world, and I do want to take shelter from the poison rain of bad ideas that cause so much suffering. And the world tells us that people will only change when the suffering or discomfort gets to be too much for them, and then they'll change. Save me from the temptation to want to dial up the discomfort and save me from the temptation to just let them suffer without my intervention, of making it better or worse.
Jesus, help us to trust in you, that you control outcomes infinitely more than we do, and our choices do matter.
Help us to make good choices for you today.
Help us to not burn down love.
Please lead us, guide us, give us ears to hear.
Please open our eyes.
