Good morning, family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Born a king on Bethlehem's plain
Gold, I bring to crown him again
King, forever ceasing Never over us all to reign.
Jesus, I thank you again at the start of this day for so many good gifts, for all of your good gifts.
It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks,
Jesus. Please help me to submit to you as king again
, to submit all of my time, talent and treasure back to you.
Please remind me how bankrupt I truly am, that there is nothing that I can give you that is not already yours.
There is nothing that I can give you that is not something that you have already given to me.
And for all of the ways in which we don't want anybody to reign over us, we don't want to submit to anything. You are on your throne, whether I submit to you or not.
Help me to look plainly at the sad ledger of my time, talent and treasure and how it reveals all of the other things that I have submitted myself to.
Jesus, please help me to give you a bigger yes today.
Please help all of us to see your true and shining light more clearly and more brightly today.
Please save me from all of the temptations of false and dim and lesser lights.
Help us to enjoy the good of other things
and help us to make you our ultimate good again today.
And for all of my loved ones, I pray for their specific needs
, for their relationship problems
, for their health problems
, for their job and economic problems.
Please bless them, protect them, lead them, guide them, reassure them and reaffirm them of your love.
Please make all of us to know again how infinitely and definitively loved we are In your great name, Jesus, the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
