Jesus, thank you for today, thank you for this Thanksgiving week
, thank you for the gratitude that you put in each of our hearts at the start of this day.
Jesus, thank you for your picture on the wall
, the crucifix
, the unimpeachable declaration of your love for us.
Jesus, help us, help me to know that today is always the best day of my life
, because today is the day when you are loving me the most
, with a burning and ferocious love.
Jesus, please help me to open the door of my heart a little bit wider
, to let more of your love in, and I pray in a special way for all of the sick and the suffering people who don't know your love at all
, who don't care
, who don't feel it
, who just don't believe it.
Jesus, for all of the ways in which suffering abounds
because I have not been your hands and feet
, please help me to do a little bit more today
and please intervene miraculously in every situation to bring love and comfort to those who need it most.
