Mychal Mills, MBA, is a transformational leader from New Jersey. Since childhood, Mychal found a passion to serve and uplift the community. In 2014, he co-founded Konscious Youth Development & Service (KYDS), a nonprofit that transforms youth, schools and communities through holistic practices facilitating mindfulness, social-emotional learning and restorative justice. KYDS has partnered with over 100 schools throughout New Jersey impacting 10,000 youth, 4,000 educators, and thousands of community members.
In 2022, Mychal joined the TEL (Transformative Educational Leadership) team as a lead facilitator where he supports the advancement of educational leaders across the country. As a leader, Mychal is skilled in community collaboration, aligning higher purpose within the heart to create ripples of change in the world. Mychal’s capabilities expand in mindfulness, heartfulness, public speaking, mentorship, fierce compassion, critical & creative thinking, and purpose-driven dialogue. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management and MBA from Monmouth University. Mychal has prior leadership experience working with Feeding America FoodBanks, Boys & Girls Club and other community initiatives.
Mychal is a sound healing facilitator and poet/author. Mychal’s purpose is to awaken infinite love within self and humanity. Mychal has a heart and passion aligned with his ability to achieve success.
Rodney Salomon is a young man whose life's work is dedicated to helping the community find internal balance by way of holistic living. In addition to graduating from Monmouth University with a bachelor's in Social Work and completing his Masters in Management with Kaplan University, he has extensive experience in the fields of Youth Development, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga.
He's been working with youth for over 15 years and is a certified yoga instructor and mindfulness and breath coach for both youth and adults. In his previous career, Rodney worked at Asbury Park High School for nine years as the Youth Development Specialist for the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group's school-based program "The Spot". In 2014, Rodney co-founded the non-profit organization Konscious Youth Development & Service, affectionately known as "KYDS", whose mission is to create future leaders through holistic interventions. Their main objective is to help youth, their communities, and educators find balance within their minds, body, and souls. The organization does this by teaching mindfulness, meditation, healthy eating, yoga, social-emotional learning, restorative justice, and so much more.
Under the KYDS mission, Rodney creates and facilitates innovative programming, such as free summer camps for elementary, and middle school students in Asbury Park focused on mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and restorative practices along with a workforce development program for high school youth. Rodney manages and facilitates school-based wellness programs across various school districts for students, staff, and administration in over 90 schools in the state of New Jersey.
