Eric Maywar runs business attraction and business retention for the City of Trenton Division of Economic Development. He proactively attracted light manufacturing and, after conducting a city-wide consumer demand study, attracted signature retail. He led the City response to COVID’s impact on business designing and managing a million-dollar emergency loan fund. He designed and managed a building improvement grant and a job-creation loan. He manages what MercerMe has called “the best Shop Local Program in New Jersey”, focusing on out-of-the-box activities with measurable ROI.
