Dwaine Williamson, Esq. is an attorney at law and most recently completed his term as an elected Councilman in Princeton, NJ. Born on the Caribbean island of Jamaica, he immigrated to Trenton, New Jersey with his mother and four older brothers. After graduating from Trenton Central High School in 1989, he attended Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. where in 1993 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics. He became a naturalized United States citizen in 1994.
After working several years in the investment business at Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney, and being an eye-witness to the horrors of 9/11, while working in Manhattan, he attended Rutgers University's School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2007. Mr. Williamson moved to Princeton Township, NJ in July of 1998. In 2022, he decided to move back to the City of Trenton.
He and his wife Trina Williamson who is an elementary school teacher in the Trenton Public School district, have three children, all Princeton High School graduates: Dwaine II, an honors graduate of Rutgers University and reserve Captain in the United States Marine Corps and Phoenix and Raina, both college students.
Mr. Williamson dedicates much of his time to the socioeconomic revitalization of Trenton through his 501(c)3 not-for-profit The New Trenton Movement and his investment company Andromeda Associates.
