Dr. Miller is a native of Paterson, NJ. She is a life-long learner as reflected in my history of college attendance and achievements. She earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Occupational and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA in 1994. She graduated with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology and in 2009; received her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education from ODU too. In May of 2019 she received the Doctor of Ministry degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, GA in Biblical Interpretation and Proclamation.
Dr. Miller a Chaplain in the United States Navy and serves as the Chaplain Programs Officer of Diversity and Inclusion for Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, TN. Dr. Miller is currently the pastor of St. Paul AME Zion Church in Ewing, NJ. She serves as the NJ Conference Budget and Finance Committee Chairs, professor in Conference Studies, and member of the Harriet Tubman Home, Inc.
She is married to CDR Jimmie L. Miller, USN Retired and they have four children, three Sons, and one daughter. They were the legal guardians of a nephew. Two daughter-in-law, Sherry and Terri. Proudest grandparents of ten grandchildren.
