Jim Barbour, with his defined background in culinary arts, began his career in the food industry as the creator of the FunniBonz line of BBQ products and founded FunniBonz LLC in 2008. Having 15 years of sales and marketing experience in th pharmaceutical, financial, music and legal document storage industries, Jim used each of these experiences to his advantage as they served as the foundation for his Company.
Over the course of the next 12 years, Jim lead the growth and development of FunniBonz LLC, and built a complex network of relationships with retail buyers and distributors which gave the FunniBonz line of products international exposure and distribution within the major retail grocery market. Jim also calimed national notoriety being featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, MSNBC and the NY Times.
In 2019, Jim began his new venture as President & CEO of Barbour Specialty Foods where he has created his new line of Down To The Bone BBQ products and 7 Minute Meals which promotes gourmet meals in minutes without all the work. Mr. Barbour received his B.A. in Arts, Speech and Drama from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and also received his Series 7/Series 63 brokerage licenses.
He serves as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and is a prominent member of The National Minority Supplier Development Council, the National Association of Specialty Food Trade and Food Export USA Northeast. Jim hails from West Windsor, NJ.
