How much does it cost to train for an IRONMAN?
(It’s almost certainly more than you want to admit.)
While most endurance athletes are aware that triathlon is not an inexpensive sport to get into, the true cost of training for an IRONMAN is high enough that most people shy away from the reality of how much it costs. It’s important for athletes to understand just what they’re getting into - emotionally, temporally, and financially - when they set the goal of training for and racing an IRONMAN.
