There are 3 kinds of reading your child should be doing from kindergarten to 12th grade.

1. Informational Reading

2. Literature Studies

3. Independent Reading

Informational reading happens naturally as you work through history and science books. You learn as you go, practice retention, and apply the knowledge received.

Literature studies and independent reading are often combined in homeschooling, but be careful!

A literature study goes far deeper than reading a book for the sake of reading.

In this week's podcast on Homeschool is a Work of Heart, I deeply dive into building a great book study. I think you are going to love it!

There's even a handout for this episode! I'll link it <<< HERE >>>
