In this episode we are discussing the one activity that unites us all—SLEEP. Whether you're a night owl or an early bird, we've all wrestled with the blanket at some point, trying to catch some  Z's. So, fluff up your pillows and get comfy as we journey into the night to discover more about the one activity we can't live without. Let's get started.

The Definition of Sleep: a condition of body and mind that typically recurs for several hours every night, in which the eyes are closed, the muscles relaxed, the activity of the brain altered, and consciousness of the surroundings practically suspended.

Discussion Questions:

  1.  "How many hours of sleep do you consider enough for yourself, and do you feel you're getting it?"
  2. "What changes do you notice in your mood or behavior when you haven't slept well?"
  3. "Are you naturally an early riser or do you find yourself more energized at night?"
  4.  "Let's talk about your ideal sleeping environment. Do you prefer it cool or warm? Do you sleep better in complete darkness, or do you need some light?"
  5. "Sleep quirks: Do you snore or drool in your sleep? Have you found any funny or unusual sleep habits you have?"
  6. "On sharing blankets: Is it a peaceful negotiation, or is it more of a nightly tug-of-war?"
  7.  "Sleepwalking or talking during sleep: Have you or anyone in your family experienced this? Any memorable stories?"
  8. "Dreams: Do you often remember your dreams? Do you think they hold any significant meaning?"
  9. How does sleep change as we age, and what adjustments should we make to our sleep habits?

Wishing you peaceful slumbers and sweet dreams. Goodnight from The Calm, The Storm and The Whimsy.
