June's theme is PLAY. It's summer!!! The sun's out, we're letting loose, stretchin' our limbs, getting out into the world and making time for things that bring us joy! But finding windows for play isn't always easy. In this adult suit we wear, we often times lose sight of what it was like to play freely, make a mess just to make a mess, try new things with no desired outcome. It's so healthy and freeing to get into that playful headspace.
I'm so excited to welcome Poy Granati, paper florist (yes, you read that right - coolest job ever) and founder of Summer Studio Space (yes summer - so kismet) to the pod to talk about how play led to her most joyful work. Yes play + work can coexist! In this episode we talk about:

ABOUT POY GRANATI, SUMMER SPACE STUDIO
Poy T. Granati founded Summer Space Studio, (translation “A Happy Place”), in 2017 where she took a journey to combine her love of papercrafts, colors, and made one paper flower daily for a hundred days. She fell in love, took her paper flowers and walked the streets of NYC. She asked stores to do pop-ups, host workshops, and design store installations. That’s how things took off.
Summer Space’s mission is to create, spread joy, and inspire people to challenge themselves by learning something new every day.
Summer Space’s works range from offering ready-to-ship bouquets, to custom orders such as bridal bouquet recreation and hosting workshops both in-person and online. The studio is now based in New York City and offers in-person service within the 5 boroughs of NYC
