If you're a seasoned Podcast Listener - this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.  It's based around exactly what the name implies - Warehouse Safety Tips.  And since the people in that industry are busy - we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.

And now that all that is out of the way - let's get to the Podcast!
Today we want to welcome Kevin Lawton of The New Warehouse Podcast.  You can find him online at TheNewWarehouse.com.
We asked Kevin if he'd share his Top 10 Warehouse Safety Tips.

Here they are.
1. When operating PIT (Power Industrial Trucks) - be sure to travel with your forks as low as possible.  For the safety of both equipment and staff.

2. Be sure to enforce the small things.  It contributes to the overall Safety Culture.

3. Wear Gloves and Protective Equipment.

4. Assure that Eye Contact (A.K.A. 2-Way Recognition) is always made between Tow or Lift Truck Operators AND pedestrians.  If you see the driver - that doesn't mean they see you - and vice/versa.

5. Be sure to always pick up debris (Tape, trash, pieces of pallets, etc...) in your facility.

Before moving on - here's a word from one of our sponsors.
