Hello everyone! Welcome back to The Owner's Journal Episode 22, with John Smith. This episode features John's incredible journey from being an ex-bomb tech, former county sheriff, and now a successful entrepreneur who started his business at the age of 48.
In this episode John was willing to deep dive with us about his journey in the military and the Sheriff's Office, and we got to talk about how both of his previous careers has influenced his abilities as a successful business owner today.
Although John has a ton to share about business, we spent most of the episode talking about life and the lessons he's learned outside the business world. We covered everything from traveling to Panama to the value in supporting others through mentorship, and even covered his 100k spartan races during the episode... and took a ton of pit stops along the way.
We're glad we got to catch John at this particular point in his life, where he's making a big transition from living a fast-paced life in Billings and the Northwest to simplifying his life through his relocation to Hawaii. The theme of simplifying things in life & business and working on finding more present moments carried throughout the entire show, and it was a great perspective for us to hear while being in busy seasons of our businesses.
