Today I’m joined by Sarah Sandidge, a Life and Recovery Coach who helps over-drinkers find not only discover freedom from addiction, but also what’s next in their beautiful lives! Sarah is also, near and dear to me, a sober human.
Sarah’s newsletter The Sober Daily can be really helpful for hints pertaining to sobriety. Every day is a new theme. I signed up. Very cool and will be a helpful resource for many.
There are many ways to embark upon a sober journey. Then we improve ourselves and improve our lives so we can enjoy the sober journey.
Sarah’s journey began in a religious household and alcohol was not an option at a young age. Alcoholism can be generational and sometimes, best to stay away.
The expectations were not happening. Sometimes “The dream” is not what we think it is.
Alcohol started to get out of hand and the consequences starting happening.
A miracle helped Sarah find and continue sobriety for two and a half years.
Being an idea generator, kids, and helping others is what drives Sarah’s sober journey now.
Gotta get better, gotta improve ourselves and learn to stay away from and out of things that can be harmful to us.
Tragedies can put us on the road to having empathy for others. Being able to see people and allowing them grace to be who they are.
We wrestle and fight ourselves and sometimes that can spill over to others in my life. Kids can help us grow immensely as we see ourselves and our behaviors through them.
We’re very fortunate when we can have people who support us and are there for us as we move into a different life.
