Been about a week since the last episode so obviously we had a little recap to do. Ultimately, this results in some discussion of stat chasing and some of the incredible numbers we are seeing from these rookies. That means Caitlin Clark, of course, and certainly Angel Reese, but there's another rookie very quietly putting on a show in the scoring department.
Could we be watching the next Taurasi, Bird, and Fowles in terms of all-time scoring, passing, and rebounding? It's way too early to say but I'll say it anyway. Yes, we COULD.
Next we get in to the blockbuster trade of the season. I don't know if Mabrey will solve all of Connecticut's problems, but she makes them a better team and is capable of addressing most of their biggest weaknesses. On the Chicago side, this is a solid move for their future. Potential for smiles all around in this exchange.
Finally, we take a little time at the end to discuss Westbrook making his way to Denver and remind listeners of the incredible player he was during his prime. Westbrook the Clipper saved face. Can Westbrook the Nugget make people like him again? We shall see.
