We all get it! Call it stress, overwhelm, and sometimes it is even described as burnout! We try to do all the things and do them to a high standard that we have placed on ourselves, just to feel defeated when we don’t get them all done or the way we wanted. We wrestle with this notion that we need “work/life balance” and so we beat ourselves up when we don’t find that again this week.

Girl! Stop!

You don’t gain anything from stressing! (except maybe some new pimples, wrinkles, and a bad attitude)! You are kickin’ ass! If you are listening to this podcast, you are a woman making waves in her life and you should be proud of yourself! Celebrate the little things on the way to the big things - it’s a dance, not just a finale!

Sure there are tweaks and dare I say shortcuts or hacks to help with this overwhelm and we are going to go through 6 of them real quick, to get you thinking on which ones you can implement in your life to help you take back control of your own life! You are the only one that can do that for YOU!

#1 - GET YOURSELF A CALENDAR!

#2 - Make a list of your TOP 3 GOALS this week - NOT 20 - Throw your to-do list away!

#3 - Learn to TIME BLOCK

#4 - SHUT YOUR DOOR AND SHUT OFF YOUR PHONE!

#5 - WORK WHEN YOU ARE MOST CREATIVE (OR ANALYTICAL)

#6 - LIFE IS A ROLLERCOASTER - WHERE ARE YOU AT RIGHT NOW!

If you are super focused on your work, like I know I can get, you may feel that you are not doing all that needs to be done and maybe being a little too hard on yourself because you had to put your focus and time elsewhere.

STOP THAT!

All parts of your life are important and you should never feel guilty for spending more time on one than the other. Life ebbs and flows and pulls us in different directions. That’s what makes it so wonderful!

I hope these little productivity ideas help you better plan out your week and provide you with more clarity on what you can do to avoid that stress, overwhelm and burnout that being a female entrepreneur can sometimes bring upon us! Take the time to organize your life at the beginning of the week so you can work from a place or action, rather than reaction! Just try it this week and let me know how it goes!
