Description

This week, my guest is First Gen academic influencer Cynthia Nunez. As a first generation Mexican American, she became aware of issues of racism at an early age. We connected on both being eldest daughters and being family oriented. She also shares how faith and spirituality have always been present in her life.

She also has a podcast called “Academic Comadres.”  https://www.instagram.com/academiccomadres/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ%3D%3D#

The podcast is co-hosted with her amiga Rubi Tapia, and they share their academic wisdom from a First-gen Latina perspective. We wrap up our conversation by talking about the importance of boundaries especially for recovering people pleasers. This interview with Cynthia is fantastic and I know you will enjoy it!
