In this week’s episode, I interview professor and poet Dra. Alicia Reyes- Barriéntez. As an expert in political science, Dra. Alicia has incredible insight into Latinx identity and migration. She shares with us today a bit about her journey and her own experience of growing up in the Texas borderlands. Most importantly, she underscores the various racial dynamics at play and how they often create traumatic experiences for children of color.
