In this heartfelt episode, I’m joined by Shady Honaker, founder of Sam’s Love—a nonprofit that provides free memory books to families who experience baby loss. Founded in honor of her son, Samuel Beckett, who was born still on January 27, 2021 during the height of the COVID pandemic, Sam’s Love is a tribute of love, remembrance, and hope.
As a women’s health practitioner, Shady brings a unique and powerful perspective. Trained to recognize complications in pregnancy, she never imagined experiencing a stillbirth herself. Now, she’s using her voice to not only support grieving families but also push for real change in maternal healthcare.
We talk openly about the gaps in care, our shared frustrations with the current system, and how we remain hopeful and committed to creating lasting change—for mothers, for babies, and for the future.
To get involved to learn more about Sam's Love, they can be found on social media and at their website.
