Ilana Griffo is a lettering artist, published author, and co-owner of Goodtype, a global type community that champions good type and good business. She’s also a wife and mom of two small kids (2 + 5).
Inside this episode we talk all about her path to where she is now spending her work days building Goodtype with her co-owner Katie Johnson. Which looks a lot different than it did in the early days of entrepreneurship after she left her post as an adjunct professor and became a full-time lettering artist.
One of my favorite bits we dug into was the importance of carving out time for you and building community. We talked about how she’s finding people who are in the same place as you are in life—making mom friends, shutting it down at Olive Garden, and putting yourself out there professionally and personally to create a life that feels good.
