Description

Today on The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I’m calling out something that’s been bothering me—people celebrating when others lose their jobs. I’ve seen it all over social media, in the comments, on the news, and it’s honestly sickening. How did we get to a place where we treat someone’s livelihood like it’s just another headline to laugh about?

I talk about what this kind of mindset says about us as a society and why none of us are immune to struggle. I also share personal experiences that shaped my perspective—like the time I was stranded in a ditch and the last person you’d expect helped me out, or how a man that most would write off because of his politics became one of my greatest mentors.

At the end of the day, we all want the same things—stability, peace, the ability to take care of our families. But somewhere along the way, we lost our ability to see each other as human. If we keep moving in this direction, it’s only going to get worse for everyone.

Let’s talk about it. And stay tuned for the next episode: Atheist and Christian Cruelty.
