The National Association of Educational Progress(NAEP) gives us an indication of how our children are doing in the foundational skills of math and reading.
Sadly, it's not looking good. One telling statistic: only 36% of fourth graders are doing well at math.
But it gets even worse.
So what’s causing this crisis? And what should we do to address it?
