Someone who selflessly cares about the well-being of others and often acts to help them without expecting anything in return.
Examples:
1 - Princess Diana was known as an altruist because of her kindness and charity work. She always helped poor people and supported people with AIDS.
2 - As an altruist, she donates clothes and blankets to homeless shelters every winter.
