Use up
means to use something until there’s none left. Essentially, when you’ve “used up” something, you’ve completely run out of it.
Examples:
1- After throwing that huge party, Sarah used up all the food in her pantry and had to order takeout the next day.
2- Rumor has it that Tom Cruise used up all his energy while filming back-to-back action scenes and had to take a week off!
