David Libby is a husband and father of two daughters. He and his family became desperately ill with Lyme Disease and suffered from complications of the disease for over a decade. He believes that their suffering was like the refining of silver in a furnace. He is deeply passionate about Christian apologetics and believes that his family's suffering has driven him to find answers to the most important questions regarding God, the Bible, and Christianity.

In this interview, David talks about how his daughter's questions during her bouts with Lyme Disease forced him to dig deeper for answers about God and the existence of suffering, and presents a philosophical argument for the existence of God. Atheists can do good science, yet he points out that true science depends on the existence of God and that atheistic worldviews (such as materialism and naturalism) rely on theistic presuppositions.
