Augusta Montana Native Matt Robertson went from the National Fiddle Competition where he placed 3rd Overall Adult, to the 2001 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. There he won 3 Go-Rounds and placed in 3 more to set a Rookie Season Earnings Record with his partner Travis Tryan.
A life long lover of music Matt has made his living for the past 25 years with a horse and a rope, but maintained his ties to the music world. He still plays the fiddle and is working on his guitar skills daily.
We stumbled into Matt at the Westgate Hotel & Casino in Vegas during the NFR and he agreed to join me as a guest on the podcast to share his story.
