Mike is the Director of Public Safety at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia. In Mike’s over 18 years of experience, he has been a pioneer in proactive security solutions including leading the development of a collaborative workplace violence prevention program that has reduced incidents of workplace violence by over 50% at his facility.Prior to healthcare, Mike was a member of the U.S. Army where his service included a response to Hurricane Katrina and combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
