Measuring, managing and prioritising carbon within the purchase, design, delivery and operation of both new build and retro-fit has been a challenge that has prevented the adoption of carbon saving designs and delivery of net-zero buildings. Mina Hasman joins Mark to talk about the recent publication of the “UK Net Zero Building Standard”, which she has helped steer and which will be a game changer within the UK. For the first time we have a coordinated and largely agreed mechanism for measuring and managing carbon in design, delivery and operation, which will allow comparisons and values to be attributed. Mina is a Time Magazine Top 100 Climate Leader and she is involved in august bodies across the world.
