- Accessibility & Exploration: With multiple options to customize HUD, difficulty, and more, Veilguard makes the experience accessible. Exploring off the beaten path is rewarding, revealing hidden side quests and treasures.
- Dialogue & Writing: The game starts at a breakneck speed, with a rushed intro and dialogue wheel that sometimes misses the intended tone. Act 1 is a grind, but Act 2 showcases BioWare’s strengths, with meaningful choices that shape the world.
- Lore: While the game has moments of rich lore, some areas feel underdeveloped. Mystical elements like the eluvians now seem commonplace, slightly diminishing their intrigue.
- Final Thoughts: Veilguard isn’t perfect, but its charm shines through. For BioWare, this feels like a fresh start, and while hardcore fans may struggle with the tonal shifts, it’s still worth playing for the main story and RPG mechanics.
