Hey gang! We are honored to welcome Ken Turner, owner of neighborhood staple and revered sandwich shop, Turner's Kitchen! A native Californian, Ken began his culinary career at the beloved Zuni Café, where he had the incredible opportunity to work with the talented Judy Rogers. He quickly blossomed from a young oyster shucker into the Chef de Cuisine, where he worked closely with both Chef Judy and the current owner, Gilbert Pilgram.
Ken opened Turner's Kitchen in November of 2015. Over the last 9 years, Ken has grown Turner's into a destination for delicious, creative, and beautiful food.
On a personal and professional note, as the owner of a neighboring sandwich business, I can't express how grateful I am to Ken for his time, transparency and insight. He so obviously embodies the value of community over competition, and our conversation gave me a sneak peek into what a potential future for my business could look like.
