Greetings, Summit Leaders.

Many of us are experiencing struggles in life.
Wisdom can be our greatest asset when life feels like a struggle.
Wisdom is the ability to gain a new perspective, make the right choices in trying, and painful circumstances.

How do we acquire wisdom and experience its benefits?

One great leader wrote centuries ago; "If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously."

How will we know wisdom when we receive it?

"Wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere."

Recognize that storms of life will come, and our responsibility is in how we respond.

Our view of the circumstances will affect our responses. When we face the battles of life on your journey, consider it all joy, knowing that the challenges are testing your faith.

As I processed all the events in our nation, I remember Matt. Matt was an IBM intern who shared his favorite.

"Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."

Be encouraged because there is good news for us today!

Imagine how you would feel if you were sure of a pathway forward.

We can emerge victoriously from the struggles if we rely on the unshakable hope and practice these steps invaluable in life and career.

Patience.
Exercising patience helps us understand that the struggles will not last forever.
Storms only last long enough to accomplish their purpose in refining our character and preparing us for greater things ahead.

Many times people search just for the reasons why they are experiencing the challenges which can yield valuable insights.

When we act on the insights that point out needed change with resolve in exhibiting the proper response, the results can be transforming.

Don't dwell on the struggle. It only magnifies the problem and diminishes your impact as a leader.

Embrace a mindset attitude and resolve to respond in a manner that is in keeping with the leader you envision becoming.

Study the lives of great leaders who adopted this way of thinking and emulate their way of life during their struggles.

Recognize that you are not alone in your struggle.

Think of several people who endured hardship, persecution, insults but responded with a seemingly supernatural calmness.

Examine the outcome of their lives and emulate their way of living, learning, and leading.

Be strong and courageous!
You are not alone. We find personal encouragement and strength when we look at the lives of other leaders.

Recognize that quitting in the middle of the challenge only postpones the battle that will reemerge later.

Now is the time to persevere and lead in faith.

Others will benefit from your example and leadership.
"Do not grow weary in doing what is right."
"Never, never give up."
"Leaders are brokers in hope."

Perseverance.
The ability to keep going despite circumstances and outlook. Great leaders embrace endurance so that when they emerge from the struggle they can claim a threefold victory.
1. Personal fulfillment.
2. Increased capacity to serve and the ability to lead positively.
3. More significant influence and credibility as a leader.

Practice.
Each of us understands the value of training when we see people performing at a high level.

These leaders recognize that they need to prepare themselves even during the times of setbacks, changes, delays, and defeat because their opportunity will eventually appear.

They continue to practice and sharpen t
