Something strange has been lurking in the forests around Show Low, and locals are organizing a hunt to track down the legendary Mogollon Monster. Standing between seven and eight feet tall with a distinctive skunk-like odor, this Arizona cryptid has been spotted throughout the rim country, with recent sightings captured on drone footage. Could this be northern Arizona's answer to Bigfoot?

Grace Payne, communications manager for the City of Show Low, joins us to announce the Mogollon Monster Night Hunt happening Monday, September 1st from 7:30 to 9:00 PM at the Show Low Bluff Hiking Trail. This family-friendly event invites participants to follow clues, answer eight questions about local history and monster mythology, and ultimately track down the elusive creature for a selfie opportunity. For just $5 per person, hunters who complete all challenges will receive a special prize. Pre-registration is available online or at the Show Low Aquatic Center.

We also welcome Miles from City of Show Low TV, who not only witnessed the monster firsthand during a recent drone flight but also performs with local band The Brighter Still. He shares details about another exciting community event – the Battle of the Bands and Food Vans happening this Saturday at Frontier Field. With live music performances, creative food trucks like "Fleetwood Mac and Cheese," a beer garden, craft vendors, and a kid zone, it's the perfect end-of-summer celebration. Our favorite redneck caller Paul from Beaumont also weighs in on cryptid creatures while updating us on his weight loss journey.

Whether you're brave enough to join the monster hunt, need to safely dispose of sensitive documents at the upcoming free shred event, or want to enjoy live music while sampling delicious food truck offerings, Show Low has something for everyone this season. Register for the Mogollon Monster Night Hunt today and be part of the search for one of Arizona's most fascinating legends!
