Last week, Saint Agnes shocked the Minnesota high school sports world when we announced that Head Football Coach Tom Flood would be stepping down and longtime assistant Sam Thompson would be taking up the mantle. Mike sits down with Sam to talk about his excitement for his new role, how he got started coaching and teaching at Saint Agnes, and what his plans are to continue the tradition of excellence on the gridiron that Coach Flood has helped to re-establish in recent years.
Coach Thompson emphasizes his "run to the fight" approach, and shares with us a little bit about his background in teaching, coaching, family life, and faith.
