If you can’t take the signing, let your client know immediately. Some signing companies, and your direct escrow clients, will want to know why you can’t take it. No matter what your reason is for declining, you should always say, “I am booked already.”
Some lenders are meticulous in their attention to detail, so every line is complete, every box is checked, and your notary blocks are pre-filled and ready for your attention. Other lenders and closing agents leave something to be desired in their completion practices.
