People who have been in auto accidents, those who have fallen, or weekend warriors who overdid the yard work are likely to think about seeing a chiropractor to help relieve pain and put things back into alignment.  What most people don’t know is that while chiropractic care is great for acute issues, it is just as important on a regular basis for your overall health.  Dr. Denny Warren, of Generations Health and Wellness Center is a chiropractor who specializes in functional medicine.  He embraces a holistic approach to enrich the lives of the community through chiropractic care and healthy lifestyle choices.  He is back with us today to tell us how to maximize and protect our brain health.  Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s disease, a type of brain disorder, is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.   Anxiety and depression are at all-time highs as are Diabetes and Heart Disease.  The brain controls not only our thoughts, emotions, and memories; it also sends signals to our whole body telling it how to function.  Every system is intimately related to the brain and subject to damage if the brain is not healthy.

The brain and spinal cord are the centers of the nervous system. The function of the nervous system is to perceive the environment and coordinate the behavior of all the other cells.   “The brain requires feedback from the spine, through proper alignment and movement, in order to deliver the right information to all the muscles, organs and tissues.” Dr. Dan Sullivan.   “The spine and posture affect and moderate every physiologic function from breathing to hormone production.”  American Journal of Pain Management.

In the webinar which I’m sharing today, Dr. Warren describes how lifestyle choices and improper alignment constantly tell our brain to turn on the Sympathetic nervous system which puts our body in a constant state of fight or flight. This causes damage to all parts of our bodies.   What we need is to proactively make choices that tell our brain to turn on the Parasympathetic nervous system, where our body works on health and recovery.

Join me today to hear what you can do to keep your brain, and therefore your whole body, healthy.
