We have all met people or seen photos online of beautiful, perfectly fit people and wished we could look like them.  Many of us will try crazy diets or extreme fitness routines to get that certain look without taking into consideration the effects that can have on our health.  Allison Jackson is one of those healthy, fit, beautiful women that people want to look like.  She works full time in the corporate world as a communications professional but has always had a passion for fitness and health. She is a Precision Nutrition Coach, and is certified as a personal trainer, a macro nutrition coach and a Yoga instructor.  In her spare time, she competes professionally as a body builder in figure competitions where she is judged on muscular symmetry and definition.

So many people asked her how she handled being a mom with a full-time job and getting her body in shape and stage ready that starting a business about it seemed like the next step. She founded Allison Jackson Fitness to help moms in the corporate world improve their health and achieve balance between life and fitness.

Today I talked with Allison about how she “helps people realize their fitness goals — whether it’s eating healthy, getting started with an exercise routine, attempting a 5K or trying their hand at competing”.  By using a coach like Allison, you get her expertise in creating sensible fitness/food programs as well as her accountability tools to help you improve your health and achieve balance between life and fitness.

Top 3 takeaways to prioritize your health and fitness

1.    Start tracking your food with an app like Fitness Pal to get a full picture how much and what you are eating.

2.    Track your movement.   Getting in a workout is important but so is regular movement throughout the day.

3.    Self-awareness with mindfulness and meditation.  Use guided meditation or just enjoy silence.
