When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars.
The 5th dimension said it all the way back in the 60’s. If we wait for just the right time, then everything will fall into place. Well the age of Aquarius didn’t count on the Coronavirus. It is here, it is real, it isn’t going anywhere quickly and it will leave the world different than it was.
And with it, the Coronavirus brings barriers. Everyone has them, but if you asked people to make a list, each person’s list would look different. Except for 2020. Right now, everyone, everywhere has the same barrier on their list in big bold letters, the Coronavirus. It does not affect everyone in the same way, but it is affecting everyone in some way. We are all waiting for life to get back to normal and “When” it does, “Then” we will take care of the things we need to do.
Unfortunately, there is no timeline for when it will end and as we come out the other side of this pandemic, life as we knew it will look different. We will have to adjust to a new normal.
Just as scientists are working to understand the virus and learn how to treat it and defeat it, we need to do the same thing to ourselves. We need to understand how the pandemic is affecting us. There are some people who have actually caught the virus and are dealing with its issues to their health. They need to rely on their valuable doctors for help. For others, we need to search out ways that we can treat and defeat the nonmedical effects that this virus has on our health.
A common phrase I have heard over and over is “When this pandemic is over, Then I will …” you fill in the blank; eat better, exercise more, take time for me, etc. This type of thinking is dangerous because no one knows when the “Then” will come. If we wait till “Then” we may never get to what we want to do at all or, at the very least we will have lost valuable time, missed opportunities and set ourselves up for more difficult times. We need to make the “when” NOW! We have to tackle what we can handle today and not wait for the perfect moment, season of life or stars to align.
Some of the barriers that have arisen due to Covid 19 fall into similar categories.
Fear: People don’t feel safe going to the, gym the store or traveling even if those avenues have been opened up. When this is over, Then I will join a gym, shop for healthy foods or go on vacation.
Time: With children home, parents working from home and in the case of health care workers, extra time spent at work, people don’t have time to do what they want. When this I over and the kids are back in school, Then I will have time to hit the gym, take that class or go on that trip.
Emotions: People are depressed, anxious, nervous, afraid, sad and angry. When this pandemic is over, Then I will be able to see friends and family, I will be happy again. When everything gets back to normal, Then I be able to make decisions again. When everything gets back to normal, Then I will go to that gym because it may be open now but I am not going to wear a mask to work out.
You can work around the When and Then’s and start now to rebuild the healthy lifestyle you have put on the shelf until this is all over, and regain control of your life.
