Description

Meditation, mindfulness, peace, relaxation, gratitude, I hope these terms bring you a content, warm and comforting feeling. In today’s world where everything is uncertain and even scary, we can all benefit from a practice that brings us peace. For many of you the thought of meditation brings to mind a person sitting cross legged with their arms out in a lotus position, chanting to themselves with the goal of emptying their mind. In reality meditation is so much more. It is becoming more aware of where you are and what you’re doing, without becoming overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around you. Mindfulness meditation gives us a time in our lives when we can suspend judgment and unleash our natural curiosity about the workings of the mind, approaching our experience with warmth and kindness—to ourselves and others. www.mindful.org.I have heard much about it lately and I have clients who embrace meditation and have found it helps, so I am going to be looking more into the practice. I have been looking into www.mindfulnessexercises.com which is a website containing comprehensive information about mindfulness and offers many free resources for meditation. They also offer scripts which enable a teacher to help you with meditation. Today I am going to walk you through a guided meditation about “Sharing Gratitude. During this session, we will practice a heart-warming technique to foster gratitude and connection.” Join me as I learn about mindfulness and meditation.
