Today broke me.
Mentally. Physically. Emotionally.
It was supposed to be a regular Monday. But from sunup to sundown, it was nothing short of survival mode. Another ewe stuck. Another prolapse. Coldest day of winter. 5 degrees, lifting deadweight sheep out of gullies, hand-feeding, hydrating, monitoring.
There was nothing glamorous or empowering about today.
But I still showed up. I had no choice. I still got on my horse. Still rode. Still got coached.
Still pushed for excellence when everything around me screamed for survival.
This episode isn’t about sheep. It’s about grit. It’s about the decision to keep going — especially when your body and mind want to shut down.
Some days build you. Some days break you. And some days… do both.
