Haemline Trailer

Welcome to Haemline, your companion for bite-sized haematology learning on the go. Whether you're commuting, doing the washing up, or simply too exhausted after a long shift to read anything, we aim to deliver focused haematology education to complement the excellent podcast resources already available.

Created by practising UK haematologists, our scripts are carefully crafted to be conversational yet compact - the sort of resource we wish we'd had when starting out.

Haemline aims to offer something for everyone. Episodes fall into four categories.

General Interest - core blood knowledge for medical students, GPs, hospital doctors, and clinical nurse specialists.

Core Haematology - essential revision for FRCPath takers, but often useful to others too.

Deep Dives — niche topics for haematologists navigating increasingly subspecialised practice.

Biology Tangents — detours into the science behind the medicine.

Rapid Reviews — high-yield two to five minute briefings on key studies or concepts.

Beyond exam preparation, we aim to reinforce evidence-based thinking habits that remain critical long after outdated facts fade.

We’ve opted for a single-host format for most episodes. This keeps the style conversational yet concise, and, practically speaking, avoids the scheduling acrobatics that often derail collaborative projects. It allows us to focus on crafting carefully written episodes that make the most of your time, whilst offering a wide-ranging mix of content.

So whether you're a hospital doctor trying to investigate your patient's anaemia, a specialist trainee preparing for the FRCPath exams, or a consultant keeping current with evolving evidence, we hope Haemline becomes a useful part of your learning routine.

New episodes released most weeks. Follow us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just search for Haemline, spelled the UK way.
