The 19th century produced the wrong kind of piety, that worked hard for the elimination of the death penalty and the outlawing of alcohol. God has commanded us to do justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly before our God. What would it look like if we took 1 for 3 or 2 for 3, but refused to live according to all three?
