Christian-produced film is coming into its own after a decade of work. The Kendrick brothers put the genre on the map with films like Fireproof and Courageous. Even Rotten Tomatoes had to reluctantly give their latest production, “Overcomer,” a 50% positive rating, along with the 98% audience approval rating. Why was this movie so engaging and so powerful on the audiences? Why is the world incapable of presenting a film with any sense of goodness, grace, light, power, encouragement, reconciliation and true victory over evil?
