Description

One of the greatest thrills of my lifetime was when I signed my first loan docs for the first home that I purchased in my young life. At times like that the emotions run high and the blood to the brain becomes impinged because we never really do read all that stack of paperwork at escrow office, do we? The first time I really paid attention to those documents was when I purchased my present home and discovered that box that says, deferred payments and the total in that box. Oh my, almost three times the amount that I was borrowing would I pay back to the lender over the term of the mortgage which was at that time, 30 long years! I know I am preaching to the choir here but what IF there had been an alternative mortgage offering that would at that time have provided a mechanism to come alongside and help me to pay off that obligation, years in advance and put a large part of those deferred payments back in my pocket vs the lender? Well we will be looking into that possibliity today.
