Navigating the holidays can be a challenge for anyone, let alone those of us on a spiritual path that doesn't necessarily fit into societal norms. You may spend the holidays with extended family that have a way of pushing buttons no one else can—and you may observe yourself unconsciously pushing others' buttons! But with self-awareness, you can let go of your old patterns and really step into acceptance, and you truly can be comfortable in any situation. In this episode, I share some of my experiences navigating the holidays in sobriety, eating a plant-based diet in a family that is omnivorous, going to church with family not because I'm christian, but because I'm happy to spend Christmas Eve with them, and some other observations I've made about myself over the last few years. Most importantly, I want to remind you that—though our culture tells us otherwise—this season is about self-care, rest, rejuvenation, community, family, and most importantly...LOVE.
Stay tuned for next week where I talk about how I call in manifestations for the year to come and share some of the rituals I like to do on New Year's Eve and on the first day of the year.
