Description

While I think many of us can agree that 2020 hasn't exactly gone the way we would have desired, we still have the choice of perception. Do we choose to get bogged down in the bad news, or do we choose another, bigger picture point of view? Some people are more prone to optimism or pessimism, but the truth is, we can all train ourselves to think differently and to cultivate new thought patterns and behaviors. I recently learned about Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and it helped me see how we can use simple, scientifically-designed tools to remap our brains, and therefore, our perception of our lives. As you know, I love when science and spirituality mix and I found this modality to be a perfect example of how we can use a very pragmatic science-based technique, with spiritual tools like meditation and visualization to allow ourselves to shift our perspective and uplift our thoughts, brain patterns, behaviors, and communication. Regardless of whether you learn this specific technique or just let this episode help you examine your thought patterns and begin to retrain your brain, I'm sharing it with the intention that it inspires you to uplift your thoughts and behaviors so that you not only improve your own perspective and outlook on life, but also positively impact those around you.
