- Ratio of Community Health Clinics to Planned Parenthood Clinics:20 to 13
- Abortion health risks: Abortion increases breast cancer risks, other health risks, and leads to serious emotional consequences. Also, “421 women have died as a result of legal abortion.
- Abortion needed for Health reasons: only five percent of all abortions are done for the mother's physical or psychological health. Rape and incest are cited as reasons for less than 1% of all abortions
- Why do women get abortions? 1. Unready for responsibility 2. Can't afford baby now 3. Concern about how having a baby would change her life.
- Children being abused: In 1973, when abortion became legal in the United States, there were 167,000 cases of child abuse and neglect reported. Yet in 1980 there were 785,100 cases – an increase of 370% from 1973. Furthermore, in 1987 there were 2,025,200 cases reported, which represents an increase of 1112%.
