Description

In this episode, Luis is joined by Erica Hornthal, known as "The Therapist Who Moves You", is a board-certified dance/movement therapist and licensed clinical professional counselor.

Luis and Erica explore the misconceptions of dance and dance therapy and Erica shares how she came to define "Dance Movement Therapy" based on her own experiences rather than what text books say.

They also discus how we can use movement and dance -- non-verbal communication and connection -- to support our mental health by allowing it to unlock stuck sensations, thoughts, beliefs, etc. that we may not be able to articulate with words. Similarly, they explain that is exactly why so many of us may avoid movement.
