Description

James 3:13 asks the question: "Who is wise and understanding among you?" Before we raise our hand and say, "Me! I'm wise," we better take a closer look at what James teaches about true, godly wisdom (compared to false, worldly wisdom) in the remainder of chapter 3. In its roots, the Bible word for "wisdom" meant "skill" - so we could define godly wisdom as "skill in living." Every day we demonstrate whether or not we have godly wisdom by what we do, say, and think. Can we pass James' "wisdom test" in verse 17? The good news is that wisdom is a skill, therefore, it can be developed - honed, refined. How? This lesson will outline what the Bible says about detecting and developing real, godly wisdom in our lives.
