What is it in this parable that would cause the writer to refer to this young man as a fool? As you listen I believe you will see it is his total absorption with himself. This young man was well prepared for this earthly life, but had completely left God out of the equation. How easy it would be for us to fall into this same trap. We must learn from his example to not spend all our time focused on the material things of this life and to never lose sight that there is a life to come.
